
Maarten Minnaard
Maarten Minnaard worked for 6 years as a pension specialist with the SFB Group (now APG), after which he moved to the legal profession in 2003. Maarten worked for Houthoff Buruma for nearly 14 years, most recently as lawyer-counsel. Maarten is a driven litigator with a great deal of experience in the field of employment-related discussions with sectoral pension funds such as PMT, PME, Bpf MITT and BpfBOUW. As such, Maarten litigated successfully on behalf of a large number of wholesalers and hospitality supply manufacturers against the Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds Foodservice & Groothandel in Levensmiddelen [Sectoral Pension Fund for Food Service and the Food Wholesale trade]. As well as being a civil lawyer, Maarten is also a tax specialist with a thorough knowledge of wage taxes. Maarten is on the editorial board of the journal de Pensioenbrief [the Pension Letter].
Maarten has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Employment Law > Pension Law.
Based on this registration, Maarten is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
Maarten (1968) grew up in Amsterdam-Buitenveldert and lives with his girlfriend and their three children in Amsterdam. Maarten loves running and has had a season ticket at the local professional football club since 1983 (section 119).
